A first for Heptonstall School!
We had our first ever ‘Whole School Trip’ to Blackpool Zoo!
A great day out was had by all!

Class 3 visit The National Police Museum and Archives in Manchester
At the museum, the children had a guided tour of the old 1879 police station- still complete with its cells and original charge office. There were also uniforms, vehicles and crime exhibits to view! After lunch the children went upstairs to the Magistrates Court which dates from 1895. The court is no longer in use but is still set out as a courtroom. The children had a guided role-play session in which some of them played (and dressed up) as Judges, barristers, witnesses, jury and – of course - the “accused”!

Class 3 visit the Lowry Centre
Trafford Park, Manchester
At the centre, the children had a workshop lead by a professional artist to explore the work of L.S. Lowry. During the workshop the children were also be taken into the galleries to see the artworks and then they created a response to what they saw.
We had a fantastic time!
